SUBJ: Please help share resources for education access!

Hello (Their Name),

I hope you are doing well. My name is (Your Name), and I am a student involved in Freedom & Citizenship, a 10 month long pre-college program at Columbia University. After taking an intensive political theory and philosophy course during the summer of 2022, we began a series of Civic Engagement projects which unfolded over the course of the school year.

My group focused on issues of education access and inequity in New York. As part of an effort to combat these problems by closing the information gap between students and families of different income-backgrounds, we first recorded a podcast with experts involved in access programs around the country, and then compiled a master list and map tracking free access programs across New York City.

We are hoping to spread the five-episode series and our Opportunity Master List & Map far and wide. We want as many low-income students in our city as possible to be afforded the opportunities they deserve.

We would love it if you would join us in this effort. Are you willing to forward this email to the student population at (school/program)?

Our website contains our podcast, map, and master list of resources.

Please let me know if you are able to send out this information, and/if you have any questions.

Thank you in advance for your support.

All the best,

(Your Name)
