Many immigrant families in New York City face language barriers that make it difficult for parents and kids alike to access essential information about public education that they need. These language barriers can become even more arduous as students and families navigate college applications.
To help address these issues, one group of Freedom and Citizenship students put together a collection of resources and facts, along with first-person accounts from immigrant students and interviews about how ESL education is funded in NYC.
