A Video on Healthcare Literacy

Students in the Healthcare Literacy group wanted to help New Yorkers navigate the often stressful experience of interacting with medical personnel in doctor's offices and hospitals. They decided to make a short video reenacting some of these experiences to help inform people about the kinds of questions they could and should ask their doctors, and the kinds of information they have a right to.

This video was researched, written, acted and by high school students Crystal P, DJ D, Dulce Q, Ellys B, Habib M, Hafsa R, Linah A, Victoria R, Wentao X, and Yuanhong W (with direction and production help from TAs Miles Udwin and Jayin Sihm).
